- Read all SPI specifications
- Don't use press-fit gears
- Be careful of motors drawing too much current
- DO NOT TURN SERVOS WHEN POWERED
- TURN OFF SPI WHEN NOT SUPERVISED (unless you want to try a 3 ft. drop test....)
- You're more productive (and probably less crabby) when you've had a full night's sleep, so sometimes it's good to stop for the day and pick it back up the next day when you're well rested.
- Make your robot easy to assemble/disassemble
- Make the power supply easily accessible
- Think about wire routing when designing your mechanical layout
- Hot glue is your best friend - you don't need to laser cut and machine every little piece
- Don't mount sensors for PID control in the center of your robot
